Change Management
How many of us, who are familiar with the old adage ‘the only constant is change' truly, embrace change?
Change can be threatening, can't it? Rather than wanting to do, think or feel differently energy, time and effort is spent keeping it as it is. This can be until it is balantly obvious to everyone and anyone else that something has to change!
So why do some people resist change, with all their might?
Why is it that others rebel against things staying the same, creating change?
John loved knowing what he would be each day. The routines he followed were second nature to him. He was able to answer questions and queries easily, from a position of knowledge. This helped him to stay motivated, he enjoyed it this way. Change simply upsets the apple cart and causes chaos, sometimes it can be downright dangerous.
Suzi loved the challenge of each day. Not knowing what the day held was exhilirating and exciting. How dull to have the same things to do, day in, day out. Having to think things up as you went along, that is where the future lies - in the unknown. Not changing causes stagnation and rot, this is dangerous.
